Public tour of the Martina Fuchs Archive of Kunstverein München
Tuesday, 20 November 2018
7pm
If you’ve seen our recent newsletters, or browsed through the hundreds of images of our past exhibitions that were scanned at the Stadtarchiv and uploaded to our website, then you know that the archive work we started in 2015 is rapidly ramping up. Although the new website has given us unlimited space to connect the digital dots between 1823 and 2018, we need physical space to complete some of this work
So, this fall, we are using all of our exhibition spaces to sort through our physical archive – to dust off old books, to index old documents, to sift through old photographs, to photograph old posters, to upload this information to our website, and to have time to reflect on it all.
Please join us on Tuesday November 20th at 7pm for a public tour, where our archivist Theresa Bauernfeind and the rest of the Kunstverein Team will share some insights into Kunstverein München’s history, tell you about the development of our archival work, and present some of our favorite objects from 195 years of exhibition making.
