Matts Leiderstam
Raumreflexionen, as part of the Sputnik Projects
The fall issue of the Collected Newsletters (a Kunstverein publication released biannually between 2002 and 2004) writes that Matt Leiderstam’s work Raumreflexionen established “a zigzag gaze between a painting in the Silver Chamber of the Residenz and the Kunstverein via a series of monocular visual instruments. The gaze tether begins with a portrait of the Royal Silver Servant Joseph Hölzl, painted by Peter Jakob Horemans in 1773, and moves across the Hofgarten to the Kunstverein.”
