bridge glitch [bring your tongue into position for pronouncing the letter L]
December 7, 2018 – January 11, 2019
Ivo Rick produced the site-specific sculpture bridge glitch [bring your tongue into position for pronouncing the letter L] for the 1. OG at Kunstverein München. It simultaneously intervenes in and interacts with the architecture. During the Jahresgaben 2018 exhibition, the sculpture served as a scenography supporting sculptures by other artists, and created a new dynamic within the exhibition space. From January 7 – 11, 2019, the sculpture was presented alone with the architecture.
During a special public event on January 8, spoken word artist David Friedrich performed texts in the Kino, while modules 015–018 – a catalogue Rick created in fall 2018 with graphic designer Nöem Held, with texts by Chris Fitzpatrick and Jochen Meister – was presented in the Treppensaal. A print edition by Rick, Held, and Friedrich, was on view in the mezzanine. Meanwhile, music was played in the Foyer.
