Die erste umfassende Einzelausstellung Act Like You Know Me der Künstlerin und Autorin Pippa Garner ist noch bis zum 13. November 2022 zu sehen.
Garner, die früher unter dem Namen Philip Garner lebte, wehrt sich gegen Systeme des Konsums, des Marketings und der Verschwendung, und hat in ihrer fünf Jahrzehnte langen Karriere ein dichtes Werk geschaffen, das Zeichnung, Performance, Skulptur, Video und Installation umfasst. Ihre kompromisslose Herangehensweise an das Leben und die künstlerische Praxis hat es ihr ermöglicht, mit den Bereichen Illustration, Editorial, Fernsehen und Kunst zu interagieren, ohne sich ihnen je ganz zu verschreiben.
Die Ausstellung wird anschließend in der Kunsthalle Zürich (Februar bis Mai 2023) sowie im 49 Nord 6 Est – Frac Lorraine in Metz (Februar bis September 2023) präsentiert.

The first comprehensive solo exhibition of the artist Pippa Garner in Europe, Act Like You Know Me, is on view through November 13, 2022.
The artist and author formerly known as Philip Garner, is pushing back against systems of consumerism, marketing, and waste and has created a dense body of work including drawing, performance, sculpture, video, and installation over her five-decade-long career. Her uncompromising approach to life and practice has allowed her to interact with the worlds of illustration, editorial, television, and art without ever quite becoming beholden to them.
The exhibition will afterwards travel to Kunsthalle Zürich (February to May 2023) as well as to 49 Nord 6 Est - Frac Lorraine in Metz (February to September 2023).

Will Holder bespielt als vierter Gast das Präsentations- und Veranstaltungsformat On and Off the Grid, das sich verschiedenen Formen des Publizierens widmet. Verortet im Schaufenster am Hofgarten versteht es sich als Programm für die Vorstellung und Verhandlung von (nicht-) publiziertem Material sowie von Prozessen der Veröffentlichung.
Am Freitag, den 11. November, um 19 Uhr wird er einige Zeilen von Alice Notley vortragen, als Auftakt zu einer von ihm herausgegebenen Publikation, die das öffentliche Sprechen der Dichterin transkribiert.
Will ist Typograf und macht Bücher, die von einer fortlaufenden Auseinandersetzung mit den Bereichen der Konversation, des Gesangs und Musizierens als ko-autorschaftlichen Prozessen geprägt sind. Gemeinsam mit Alex Waterman und Robert Ashley veröffentlichte er das Buch Yes, But Is It Edible? The music of Robert Ashley for two or more voices. Will ist außerdem Herausgeber von F.R.DAVID, einer Publikationsreihe, die sich mit Lesen und Schreiben sowie der Organisation und Reproduktion von Sprache befasst (2007 bis 2016 bei de appel, Amsterdam, erschienen; von uh books gemeinsam mit den KW, Berlin, herausgegeben).

Will Holder is the forth guest of the series On and Off the Grid, a yearly program of presentations and events dedicated to various form(at)s of publishing. Taking place in the window display at the Hofgarten, the format provides a platform for the introduction, examination, and (re)negotiation of the materials and processes involved in publishing.
On Friday, November 11, at 7pm, he will reproduce—in public—some lines by the poet Alice Notley, as a prelude to a publication he will publish, of her speaking publicly, transcribed.
Will is a typographer who makes books, informed by an ongoing study of conversation, song and music-making as a co-authored process, produced in the space between speaking-bodies-as-documents, on and off the page. With Alex Waterman and Robert Ashley, he edited the songbook Yes, But Is It Edible? The music of Robert Ashley for two or more voices. Holder also edits F.R.DAVID, a journal concerned with reading & writing and the organisation and reproduction of language (published 2007–2016 by de appel, Amsterdam; co-published by uh books with KW, Berlin).

DE Die vierte Ausgabe von Between wird von Stanislav Iordanov und Moritz Nebenführ konzipiert und ist dem Künstler und Musiker Bruce Gilbert gewidmet. Neben einem Konzert und einem Gespräch wird eine Auswahl von Gilberts musikalischen Werken für Ballett und Film gezeigt. Im weiteren Verlauf wird das Programm um Live-Sets von AJ Pain und Vera sowie eine Performance von Nikhil Vettukattil erweitert.
EN The fourth edition of Between is programmed by Stanislav Iordanov and Moritz Nebenführ and focuses on the artist and musician Bruce Gilbert. In addition to a concert and conversation, the event will screen a selection of Gilbert’s musical works for ballet and film. Live sets by AJ Pain and Vera as well as a performance work by Nikhil Vettukattil extend the scope.
