Conversation: Anne Turyn
What can a little book do?
Thursday, October 17
7pm
In conversation with curator Gloria Hasnay, artist, publisher, and author Anne Turyn will present materials from her archive related to the Top Stories publication series and other activities. Turyn founded Top Stories in 1978 as a magazine for radical and experimental forms of writing, conceived as a flexible and affordable print medium. Until 1991, and across 29 issues, the series served as a platform for unconventional texts by (mainly female) authors, artists, filmmakers, and musicians, including Kathy Acker, Laurie Anderson, Constance DeJong, Pati Hill, and Cookie Mueller.
In cooperation with Portikus in Frankfurt.
