Between
24-hour music program
since August 2021
Between is a series departing from music based practices that temporarily rededicates the Kunstverein’s exhibition spaces to a stage for international musicians, performers, and artists. It takes place in the empty spaces between two exhibitions for the duration of 24 hours and seeks to produce non-linear temporalities.

Initiated and run by Nguyen Phuong-Dan, dispari is a label and platform for all kinds of auditory publications and performances in various places. Phuong-Dan is joined by Florian Bräunlich, Jessica Ekomane, Fleurop, Sven-Åke Johansson, Annika Larsson, TinTin Patrone, and Laila Sakini.

The second iteration of Between is dedicated to the late U.S.-American composer Robert Ashley and brings together Kyle Gann, Brian McCorkle, and Paul Pinto as well as the artist Scott Rogers, among others.
The event is a collaboration with the Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf.
Between is supported by Musikfonds, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, and the Biehler von Dorrer Stiftung.
