Dispositive Workshop

Part 4

Colloquium on Collaborative Practices

June 23 - June 25, 2004

The colloquium is the fourth part of the ongoing program at the Kunstverein called Dispositive Workshop. Dispositiv Workshop is a series of art projects initiated by Kunstverein München that focuses on the emergence of collaborative art practices as a performative aspect of production processes in both local and international contexts.

Colloquium on Collaborative Practices is a weekend workshop where cultural producers involved in various kinds of collaborations in different parts of Europe are invited to discuss the collaborative practices in their own activities. The aim of the colloquium is to investigate the different working formats that emerge from this form of practice and their implication, e.g. how the groups organise their work and if there are specific and perhaps new methods that develop for producing knowledge. The colloquium also aims to explorer the aesthetic, political, and thematic context-related implications of collaborative work.
