Gintaras Didžiapetris is interested in plankton and diatoms because they are one of the oldest forms of life, and because they take on the most basic geometric forms. He has included 3 neon glyphs in Sudoku, which were enlarged from small drawings into abstract forms which illuminate the exhibition rooms. For his edition, he created smaller versions of one of his untitled neons — imagining them as offspring, or children. Each measures 50 x 50 cm, but the nature of the production process, in which glass is bent under high temperatures, makes every one also unique.
