Liam Gillick’s work represents an ongoing study of surfaces, structures and systems, that shape our economies of perception through corporate engineering. Across a broad spectrum of media and formats, Gillick creates spaces of potentiality that negotiate our contemporary environments on the borderlines between fiction, utopia and social reality. On the occasion of his touring retrospective Three Perspectives and a Short Scenario, Liam Gillick produced the limited edition Kiosk Progressions exclusively for Kunstverein München. Over the course of altogether ten unique archival prints, the geometric figure of a possible space is transformed until it vanishes in a palimpsest of graphic notations.
