THE ARCHIVE AS ... LOST IN MUNICH
    Conversation with Michaela Melián
    Wednesday, May 31
    7pm

In her artistic work, Michaela Melián develops many-layered fields of memory, manufacturing complex contexts from contentual references and quotations. She once described her method as the “politics of memory.” As an informal chronicler, the artist and musician has accompanied the Kunstverein for over 40 years: Melián has contributed to and took part in its various formats—from exhibitions and Jahresgaben to publications and concerts. During a conversation, we will trace the various sociopolitical and artistic moments in the Kunstverein’s history and present.

The conversation will be held in German.
