Paul Kollings Einzelausstellung Nadir ist noch bis Sonntag, den 21. April zu sehen. Durch die Nutzung von technischen Systemen und selbst geschriebenem Code schafft Kolling Installationen, Skulpturen und Videos, die sich zwischen dem analogen und dem digitalen Raum bewegen. Seine recherchebasierten Arbeiten verkomplizieren konventionelle Vorstellungen des Protokollierens und Klassifizierens von Raum und konfrontieren die Betrachter*innen mit dem Akt des Beobachtens als einem von Interessen geleiteten Vorgang. Mittels einer neuen, für die Ausstellung konzipierten raumgreifenden Intervention und Filmprojektion hat sich Kolling mit den sozio-politischen wie ökonomischen Beziehungen der Geschichte der Luftbildaufnahmen und der Hansa Luftbild GmbH auseinandergesetzt.

Im Rahmen der Onsite- und Online-Serie Schaufenster ist der Film phantom. menace. von Sondra Perry noch bis Sonntag, den 28. April zu sehen.

Paul Kolling’s solo exhibition Nadir is on view through Sunday, April 21. By using technical systems and self-written code, Kolling creates installations, sculptures, and videos that move between analog and digital space. His research-based works complicate conventional notions of recording and classifying space, confronting the viewer with the act of observing as a process governed by interests. The expansive intervention and the film projection conceived for the exhibition examine the complex socio-political and economic relationships of the history of aerial photography and the Hansa Luftbild GmbH.

Der Anna Mendelssohn Reader ist dem Werk der britischen Dichterin und Künstlerin Anna Mendelssohn (1948–2009) gewidmet. Das Buch wird im Kunstverein München im Rahmen einer Serie von Lesungen anderer Autor*innen und Dichter*innen vorgestellt, die sich auf unterschiedliche Weise mit Mendelssohns Werk beschäftigt haben. Der Reader selbst ist das Ergebnis einer kollektiven Auseinandersetzung mit ihrem „Anti-Confessional Life Writing“ und versammelt eine Auswahl von bereits veröffentlichten Gedichten und Sekundärliteratur, (auto-)biografische Notizen, neue Übersetzungen ihrer Gedichte sowie einige bisher selten veröffentlichte künstlerische Arbeiten.

The Anna Mendelssohn Reader is dedicated to the work of British poet and artist Anna Mendelssohn (1948–2009). The publication will be presented at Kunstverein München in the context of a series of readings and recitations by a group of fellow writers and poets who have engaged with Mendelssohn‘s work in a variety of ways. The reader itself is the result of a collective engagement with her “anti-confessional life writing” and comprises a selection of previously published poems and secondary literature as well as (auto-)biographical notes, new translations of her poems, and selected artistic works that have rarely been published.

Die Writers Residency richtet sich an Autor*innen und Kritiker*innen sowie an Künstler*innen, deren Praxis auf Schreiben basiert. Die nächste Residentin ab April ist die Autorin, Kritikerin und Kuratorin Laura McLean-Ferris. Während ihres Aufenthalts in der Villa Waldberta am Starnberger See wird sie an einem Roman über subjektive Porosität und Performance sowie an einem neuen Text über Dämmerung und Auflösung arbeiten, der auf Agnès Vardas Film Cléo – Mittwoch zwischen 5 und 7 (1962) basiert.

The Writers Residency is aimed at authors and critics, as well as artists whose practice is based on writing. Beginning in April, the next fellow is writer, critic, and curator Laura McLean-Ferris. During her stay at Villa Waldberta at Lake Starnberg, she will be working on a novel exploring subjective porosity and performance, and a new text on twilight hours and dissolution based around Agnès Varda’s film Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962).
