[ The Bomber fly pattern developed from at least three things:

1. From a physical and mental departure from conservative fly tying culture.

2. From the joke or saying : "Conditions were so good that you could throw you hat into the river and salmon would take it."

3. From seeing salmon rising for cigar butts thrown into the river.
