Der Künstler Paul Kolling beschäftigt sich mit aktuellen Fragen zu Ökonomie, Ökologie und Infrastrukturen. Er schafft Installationen, Skulpturen und Videos, die analoge und digitale Medien verschränken. Für seine Einzelausstellung Nadir (2024) hat Kolling eine neue Filmarbeit konzipiert, die sich mit der Geschichte von Luftbildaufnahmen auseinandersetzt. Kollings neue Edition Nadir 1364.252::4547.507 besteht aus zwei Leuchtprofilen, in denen vier Meter des 115,88 Meter langen originalen 35-mm-Films zu sehen sind. Die Edition wurde ausgehend von seiner Ausstellung für den Kunstverein konzipiert.

The artist Paul Kolling deals with current issues of economy, ecology, and infrastructures. He creates installations, sculptures, and videos that move between analog and digital space. For his solo exhibition Nadir (2024), Kolling has conceived a new film work that deals with the history of aerial photography. Kolling’s edition Nadir 1364.252::4547.507 consists of two light profiles in which four meters of the 115.88-meter-long original 35-mm film can be seen. The edition has been conceived on the basis of his exhibition for the Kunstverein.

Das Künstlerinnen Duo HULFE konzentriert sich auf Accessoires, die sich mit der Unterstützung und der Erweiterung sowie Vervielfältigung von Körpern befassen. Ihre Praxis bewegt sich zwischen Skulptur, Mode und Design. Das Duo hat ausgehend der Tischdecke, die sie für das diesjährige Arkadendinner gestaltet haben, die Arbeit Relational Bib for 8 konzipiert. In limitierter Auflage sind die km-Longsleeves als neue Edition erhältlich, verziert mit dem klassischen HULFE-Ziehgurt km drop oder der HULFE-Schleife km bow.

The artist duo HULFE focuses on accessories that deal with the support, extension, and multiplication of bodies. Their practice moves between sculpture, fashion, and design. The duo has developed the work Relational Bib for 8 based on the tablecloth they designed for this year’s Arkadendinner. A limited edition of the km longsleeves are available, decorated with the classic HULFE drawstring km drop or with the HULFE ribbon km bow.

Vorausgehend zur Ausstellung von Kosen Ohtsubo und Christian Kōun Alborz Oldham, die im Januar 2025 eröffnet, ist die Arbeit 怪芋I / Strange Callas I (1978/2024) von Ohtsobu schon zum Auftakt der Jahresgaben erwerblich. Der japanische Künstler Kosen Ohtsubo ist einer der bedeutendsten Praktiker und Lehrer der Kunstform Ikebana. In der Arbeit mit lebendigen Material konfrontieren seine ephemeren Skulpturen die Betrachter*innen mit Fragen des Seins in und mit der Welt, Prozessen des Verfalls, flüchtiger Schönheit und der Unmöglichkeit menschlicher Kontrolle.

In anticipation of the exhibition by Kosen Ohtsubo and Christian Kōun Alborz Oldham, which opens in January 2025, the work 怪芋I / Strange Callas I (1978/2024) by Ohtsobu is already available at the start of the Jahresgaben. The Japanese artist Kosen Ohtsubo is one of the most important practitioners and teachers of the art form of Ikebana. Working with living material, his ephemeral sculptures confront the viewer with questions of being in and with the world, processes of decay, fleeting beauty, and the impossibility of human control.
