Fareed Armaly, an American artist living in Europe, has been attracting attention in recent years with projects using the topography of each exhibition site as a platform. In precise analyzes, he rephrases the relationships between architecture, the media and "popular culture" and, above all, puts the artist's role at stake. In the form of e.g. interviews, documentaries, music magazines or graphic designs he introduces an altered concept of production. A social space becomes visible. The "red thread" that runs through Armaly's work is the way in which he combines "history" and "future" to form a picture of the present.
Fareed Armaly developed a new project for the Kunstverein Munich and its surroundings.
