Although the significance and innovation potential of painting are often called into question today, it nevertheless remains the privileged place of art. The privilege is not tied to isolation, so the conventions of the panel painting are long since abandoned and the rivalry with the entertainment images is getting stronger. Other techniques of seeing force the constant repositioning of the medium. Many artists no longer just use a medium, but constantly question their own practice, reflecting the changes in aesthetic discussion.
This oscillation between analysis and synthesis is a starting point of this exhibition. Artists use the conventions of the privileged place, without unnecessary respect, but with the motivation to use a cultural means of transmission in all its meanings.
