Contrary to popular belief that an image is only a two-dimensional, flat thing, a carrier of optical illusions or synaesthetic experiences, artists of the youngest generation seek to create several dimensions in this shallowness.
The signs of painting, photography or cinema provide the material for the thematization of a split between eye and gaze, perception and reading. The picture is not a monochrome field; it is a blind window that tells about the hunger for knowledge and profundity of both the beholder and the artist.
