„Dieses Bild ist mir wichtig“
Mitglieder des Kunstvereins zeigen ihre Lieblingsbilder.
(“This picture is important to me”. Members of the Kunstverein show their favorite pictures.)
March 24 - April 20, 1972
A talk with artists represented in the exhibition took place on March 28, 1972. Every Tuesday and Thursday, visitors could make their own prints on a printing press.
“Here the really broad base of the association comes into play, the art lover, to whom nothing is further away than an ‘abstract’ promotion of the arts. For the art lover and occasional collector, the Kunstverein means a possibility of contact: with art and artists. It is on this all in all naturally ‘bourgeois’ basis that the Kunstverein has now fallen back. At the same time, and this is more than a mere punch line, taste is examined. Alongside the pictures, which have not been placed in any stylistic or decorative context, but have been numbered and lined up in the sequence of submissions, one can read confessions by the collectors. They range from brief biographical information to far-reaching analyses, from very personal notes to quotations of professional criticism, from a little verse to an ambitious attempt at enlightenment.” (Laszlo Glozer: “At the Kunstverein - this time art. On the exhibition ‘Dieses Bild ist mir wichtig’”, Süddeutsche Zeitung, April 10, 1972)
